Does article marketing still work?

Does article marketing still work? Many super affiliates would answer that question with a resounding no. Yet, many super affiliates would answer that question with a resounding yes; it depends on who you talk to and their business model. Many internet marketers have moved away from article marketing and rely on creating videos and social media to promote their business.

Article marketing can be defined as a form of advertising from a business or individual by submitting short articles promoting their services or expertise to the marketplace.

Who can benefit from article marketing?

Individuals or businesses with not a lot of financial resources but with time can use article marketing to promote their business or service; they can benefit greatly using article marketing. Contrary to many who believe article marketing is dead, there are still plenty of people who would rather read, than view utube, FaceBook or tweet. Writing articles and submitting them is inexpensive and if done right can expose a business to lots of the right traffic. Article marketing allows marketers to tell their story in their own words if they choose or they can hire someone to write and submit articles for them.

The key to submitting effective articles to article directories is to provide good quality content and create an appetite for readers to want to read more of your material. Equally important is to have a good resource box. The resource box is where you promote yourself and build back links to your site.

3 things you seek to accomplish with article marketing

1. Provide good helpful information to your reader.

You want to build a relationship with your readers, people come to the Internet seeking information, and they will read your articles because you provide them with what they are looking for and because your article was helpful.

2. Establish yourself as an expert in your field

You must win the trust of your readers in the beginning, it may take some time a few articles but once this is done they will seek your advice in your field of expertise. When they are seeking your advice they will are more apt to buy products you may be promoting or products you create or sell. Some internet marketers have devolved such a loyal following that they buy practically everything the marketer creates or recommends, often without reading the sales letter.

3. Build backlinks to your site.

The more backlinks you build the better your standing with the search engines. The better your standings with the search engines the easier to draw traffic to your site. You want other internet marketers to reference your site on their sites.

4. Increase traffic to your site

By using article marketing to attract visitors to your site you are building the right kind of traffic, people are coming to your site because they are interested in your content and recommendations. There are plenty of sites that draw a lot of traffic but don’t make a lot of sales, that’s because they are drawing the wrong kind of traffic. Article marketing can be a way of prequalifying your traffic.

Conclusion

Article marketing is not dead and it is still the cheapest way to advertise on the Internet. In fact, article marketing along with social marketing and video blogging can be a powerful combination for any business whether new or mature. So don’t be so quick to dismiss article marketing.

Financial roller coaster

One of the biggest challenges for Internet marketers looking to go full-time will be management of their financial resources and being prepared to withstand economic droughts. Yes, it is exciting to have your own business and to set your hours but unlike a regular 40 hour a week job working for someone else and you can expect to be paid a certain amount; you cannot always depend this working on the internet. There is no guarantee of making any money at all working on the internet.

Financial roller coaster

There may be times when your booming business suddenly slows down and you see your bank account take a huge dip in funds. There may be times when you see a huge unexpected spike in business and your bank shows some very nice and welcome healthy numbers. The point is, in the middle of a financial feast, plan for when your business may be in an economic famine. Have an economic survival plan him.

Some causes of financial famine

Depending on your business model your income may run your income may be seasonal, which could mean you won’t have a steady flow of income. But even though you won’t have a steady flow of income you will have a steady flow of bills and you will have a steady flow and you will have to budget for those times when you not making a lot of money. This is why you must develop a strategy and a business model of multiple streams of income.

Some businesses may sell products that may be affected by Google making changes to their algorithm and cause traffic to their site to completely dry up, which is why it is most important to build a list to sell to.

Some times it’s simply a bad economy and your readers/buyers cannot afford your products. This is why you must know your market and look for products or services that benefit them.

These are a few simple things you should understand and plan for to avoid being totally devastated from writing a financial roller coaster.

The History of Unbelievable Growth

The Internet Marketing Industry has been one of the fastest growing Industries in history.

It started as a small cottage industry and grew into a multi-billion dollar industry almost overnight.  What started as mainly Mom & Pop operations has expanded to almost every major corporation in the world.

Yet, within this industry, the small Mom and Pops still thrive. Many may even have a larger ROI than the major corporations.

The Problem…

With this rapid growth came rapid problems…myths, lies, misconceptions, innuendos, and even scams.

There is so much myth and fiction, out there, relating to Internet Marketing that it’s hard to find the truth.

All of this hurts the entire industry…but it causes the most pain to the Mom & Pop operations as well as the small to mid-sized Internet Marketers.

The Solution…

Many of these small and mid-sized operators are forced to work harder for each dollar earned because they have to not only overcome public skepticism, but they MUST also overcome the malarkey they’ve been taught and the poor example and practices left by some Marketers.

The “Armand Morin Network Inc” has just released a Brand New White paper that addresses these issues.

This new White paper entitled “It’s Not Your Fault” addresses these issues head on.

It, once and for all, separates Fact, Fiction and Myth and exposes the shoddy practices that are taking place.

It debunks the malarkey so that innocent marketers don’t inadvertently follow it in hopes of growing their business.

5 Ways Saving The Earth Can Save You Money

By Brandon Lamb
Finance Expert & Author

One of the oddest ideas in our culture is that businesses and environmental awareness must be at odds. But if you think about it, it’s really the exact opposite. A business, to be successful, must keep its operating costs below its income. That means, essentially, conservation, which is good for the environment. Therefore, what’s good for your business, is good for the environment.

Look at it this way. Let’s say you’re creating document to distribute to clients. You print off eight copies of the first draft and distribute them to employees for their input and opinion. Those eight employees make their suggestions, and you incorporate them into the document. You print off another eight copies, and redistribute them. You get them back, incorporate other suggestions, then start the final draft. While you’re trying to get the final draft right, you notice some glaring errors. So you fix them, and run it off again. But then you find some errors that you didn’t see the first time, so you reprint the entire run. Let’s say this happens a third, and fourth time, before you get it right. You have just wasted reams of paper, thrown several ink cartridges into a landfill, and cost your company loads of money.

Let’s take a look at some of the things you could have done to save time, money, and the environment:

• Conserve Paper — Did you really need to make actual copies of the document to distribute to those original eight people? Not in this day and age. You could just as easily have emailed it, and received the suggestions by email as well. Using paperless forms of communication, such as email or texts, can save your company hundreds of dollars a year. All proofing for the document could have been done electronically, as well. Committing a document to paper should be the final step of the process. Even then, you should consider alternative ways of disseminating the information. Could it have been distributed as a PowerPoint presentation? Or a Flash-based movie?
• Conserve Ink — When you conserve paper, you’re automatically conserving ink. And ink is expensive. Now, we can argue whether ink ought to be as expensive as it has become, but it’s actually sort of a blessing. The less ink you use, the less money you’ll spend…and the fewer cartridges will wind up in a landfill.

Here are some other ways you can save money, while saving the environment:

• Use Recycled And Remanufactured Products — Remanufactured products are usually cheaper than new ones, and just as good. This is true for office equipment (such as copiers, printers, cell phones, and computers) as well as some consumables, such as ink and toner cartridges.
• Create an In-House Recycling Program — Set out special bins or barrels for office paper, cans, and plastics. This will help reduce the amount of trash you’ll have to pay for. And some products, such as aluminum cans, can actually earn you money.
• Recycle Office Equipment — We talked about buying recycled office equipment, but you can also sell used equipment. Try websites such as Craigslist, or eBay. Or consider donating them to a worthy charity.
• Recycle Ink and Toner Cartridges — Some office supply stores will refill ink cartridges for a fraction of what you’d pay for a new one. Even if you don’t have them refilled, send them back to the manufacturer or other recycling house.

Don’t Forget About Local Brick and Mortar Businesses

New online businesses are starting up every day by the thousands, and while many are focused on building their online business for the world to see and do business with, most internet marketers myself included have virtually ignored one sector of business very close to us, that would be the brick and mortar businesses in our local area. How about taking your skills you have and helping the small businesses who haven’t had time to setup a website and be able to manage it. Maybe the local business has a website but would rather turn the whole thing over to an expert, an expert like you.
Most local business don’t have time for setting up and running a website and they haven’t had much if any contact from internet marketing experts.  While local marketing is not a new idea it is still an area that is relatively untouched with regards to competition.  Many local brick and mortar business in your area and mine don’t even have a website and still rely on the yellow pages to advertise to the local residents, this is a field that for now is wide open but as with everything else will eventually become saturated once the market sees there is money to be made in this area.

I’ve said all to this to promote a product that I purchased and I believe it is going to do wonders for local business.  This product by Adam Horwitz was designed with the intent of using cell phones  that’s right! cell phones to help local business advertise and reach customers instantly,  which is something the old way of advertising on the yellow pages or newspaper  cannot do.  A local business is having a slow day they run a special ad to the customers and a slow day is suddenly busy. Think about it almost everyone has a cell phone and almost everyone reads their text message roughly 97% read their text messages this could be a huge marketing tool for local business. It would be your job as the expert to set it up and manage it.

Adam has figured out a way for mobile helpers which would be you and I to approach local business and present the product services. He provides us  with plenty of tools and training to help grow your business. Check out this video http://youtu.be/Wc5JGrMOxdk . The training is top notch and there are plenty of videos which are easy to follow. In addition, to the training there are at the time of this writing webinars on Sunday night to help you really get your business going  and now Adam has made the time to provide one on one coaching if you need further assistance. However, I think that the training is enough, it’s like any business in order to be successful you just have to work the business, overcome any fear, discipline yourself and just  do it.

I hope you watched the video I know it is a fabulous business opportunity  but I also know it is not for everyone. However there is still one other way you can make money and that is by being an affiliate of yep text. Yep text is the texting services Adam uses to send out text messages to the businesses customers. Who knows you may even need it for yourself. Just go to the link below and check it out. http://live.yeptext.com/promocode/H84el96ton

Design and Development Plan

Continuing on from the seven essentials for a business plan this article will briefly discuss the design and
development plan.

Design and development plan

The purpose of the design and development plan is to show the evolution of a product or service and to chart its development from conception to the time it is ready to be purchased. In this section you will talk about the products design how it is made or will be make. If it is a service talk what the service it provides or will do. Chart its growth and what problems that might have occurred and how they were corrected. Explain to your potential investors or lenders what type of quality control you have in place and create a development budget that will allow the company to reached expected goals.

If you’ll need to work with suppliers explain who they are, what type of relationship you have with them how long they have been around and what their process are. Also, you need to show that you have a plan in place for any alternative plans should it become necessary.

Generally in this section of your business plan that you cover three areas: product development as briefly discussed up top, market development and organizational development.

Product development

You’ll need to discuss the goals for product development both from a technical and marketing point of view. You should also show that you have a firm grasp on what is happening in your industry. If you are a member of any organizations or plan to join any you should make mention of it.

Marketing development

Marketing development you may discuss plans for in addition to advertising with regular media you advertise down the line with collateral marketing. The goal should be to have the product or service perform so well that you get positive feedback such as: getting good word of mouth advertising or good news write up. Other examples of collateral marketing would be sales brochures, sales scripts, web content, visual aids and sales presentations and other type aids.

Organizational development

Organizational development would center on recruiting expertise that is needed in the company either fulltime or on a retainer basis depending on your business. You’ll discuss plans to accomplish the goal of acquiring needed expertise. The expertise needs to be set in key areas that provide a competitive advantage, without it is unlikely to get the funding you seek.

Procedures

Procedures will need to be in place outlining the responsibilities of each person addressed in the plan. Procedures will be developed for product development, for market development and a procedure for organizational development. The procedure will cover who is in charge, how everything will interact and how resources will be allocated.

Procedures will assign work responsibilities that must be completed. The procedures must account for all individual work assignment within the development plan.

Scheduling and cost

Next you’ll talk about scheduling and cost. Scheduling and cost will be one of the most important parts of the development plan. The primary function of the scheduling is to set a time frame and to establish projected start and completion dates for each stage. In this section you will include all the key work elements along with every stage the product must past before the consumer gets hold of it. Everything will be tied to the development budget in order to keep track of spending; this will let you know if cost is starting to get out of control.

Development budget

The development budget should be in depth. It needs to include all the expenses required from start to finish of the product or service. Cost that should be included are: material, direct labor, overhead, administrative cost including salaries of executives, marketing and sales, professional services such as lawyers, accountants, and business consultants, capital equipment, and miscellaneous cost.

Personal

If more personal needs to be recruited the plan should address that issue. It should cover how they will be integrated.

Assessing risk

Finally your plan needs to know the risk involved and have some action plan in place for the known risk and have some financial cushion and a fall back plan to be able to within stand any unforeseen setback. Hopefully, this will give your potential investors some measure of comfort.

Cheers

Competitive Analysis

This article is a continuation of the essentials in writing a business plan. Today’s article is on competitive analysis.

Competitive analysis

When writing the competitive analysis section of your business plan you are sizing yourself up with the completion. You will compare your strengths and weakness with those of your competitors. The purpose of the competitive analysis is to show that you have developed and outline a strategy that gives you an advantage that will hopefully influence you lenders or investors to back your winning plan.

The way that you will convince your investors to back you is to show you have done extensive research studying your completion. The following steps are some tips for your analysis.

Your first step you will discuss your competition from the customer point of view. You become a customer of your competition you will note what your competitors does well. You will note how they deal with customers, weather they a warm and friendly or they are methodical and robotic towards the customers.

The next thing you will note in your report is your competitions level of education, their experience in the industry and there management style. If you have several competitors you will need show how you have grouped them and identify from strongest to the weakest, explaining why. Also you should identify possible unexpected competition; this may come from closely related business that may decide to move into your area of the industry.

After you have grouped each one identify each ones’ strategy its strength and its weakness. If you can exploit the weakness, for example if your strongest competition does not have an extremely up to date automated machinery to aid in the business you are competing in than you need to get the equipment and take full advantage of it.

Talk to the competitions customers ask why they purchase there and what about it they don’t like. Look for a common complaint among customers and address it in your plan.

Use the internet to gather information about the competition. You will be able to get some idea of the financials if the company is public. Also, if they are a public company buy some stock in the company; this will give you more access to their strategy.

Spend time at the local library reading local publications on companies in the area. There just might be valuable news to assists your analysis.

Always keep a keen eye for new competition especially if your industry is a booming industry. There will always be new comers in profitable industries. In fact so many new comers will come until the industry gets saturated. You will need to have a plan in place if the market takes a down turn because of saturation.

Define the overall competitive landscape not just your competition within your industry but competition that could draw customers away from you and your competition. You’ll need to determine if the local area can take handle other industries competing for the same dollars.

These are a few tips you will need to discuss in your analysis. When you are looking over things look at the overall message given by your competitors, you might notice that they may all be pretty much saying the same thing and what they are saying probably mimics the message of the strongest competitor. You have a chance to offer a unique message if you have the tools. If you can offer a unique way than use it to your advantage.

Gather all the information you think you need use these tips and talk to people who have done market analysis, brainstorm, go to SBA for tips use the internet, and go for it.

To your success
